In our Electricity Operation Unit, which has been serving since the establishment of İzmir Atatürk Organised Industrial Zone; 2 Electrical Engineers and 7 Electrical Technicians work. We provide 24/7 service including holidays, public holidays and weekends with our team ready in case of any adverse and emergency situation.
The Electricity Management Unit, which is responsible for the project design, tender, implementation and control of the necessary infrastructures for the industrial facilities operating in İzmir Atatürk Organised Industrial Zone and the service facilities of the OIZ, also works on electricity supply at affordable prices, invoicing, breakdown, maintenance, energy efficiency, SCADA and Energy Management Systems.
The works, which started in 2005 with the decision of the Board of Directors of IAOSB to renew the Electricity Distribution Network, were completed in June 2008 with the re-establishment of all transformers and distribution centres in the same place, the installation of cable lines instead of all high voltage overhead lines, the establishment of an exemplary protection system and environmental lighting infrastructure facilities. With this project, power outages due to network-induced power failures have been reduced to almost non-existent levels, and the effects of failures in industrial facilities substations on other participants have been minimised.
Two transformers with 140/160 MVA power were installed in IAOSB Electricity Distribution Network ATAER TM. In order to meet the increasing electricity demands of our participants, our efforts to install a third transformer of the same capacity at ATAER TM are continuing and the transformer to be installed is planned to be commissioned at the beginning of 2023.
One of the most important issues of today is the efficient use of energy in industrial facilities, OIZ service facilities and environmental lighting. IAOSB organises training and information meetings with the Energy Management Unit and serves its participants with national and international projects and supports.
With the SCADA and energy management systems to be installed, it will be tried to provide better quality service to industrialists in many areas such as the operation of electricity, water and natural gas networks, obtaining detailed statistical information, installing security camera and warning systems. In April 2022, the remote reading programme of electricity, water and natural gas meters was opened to our participants. Our participants calculate their production costs more easily by remotely monitoring their meters with their user names and passwords. At the same time, they can easily monitor the reactive energy values and intervene in the compensation system in a short time.
