Hasan Kahraman, KOSGEB İzmir Directorate Expert Hasan Kahraman, who came together with IAOSB Participants and employees at the meeting titled ‘KOBİGEL-SME Development Support Programme’ held within the scope of İzmir Atatürk Organised Industrial Zone seminars, gave information about the details of the three project proposal calls concerning the manufacturing industry sector.
Pointing out that the calls are designed for manufacturing SMEs that develop smart digital technologies with domestic facilities or incorporate these technologies into their production processes, Kahraman said, ‘The aim here is to expand the inventory of domestic and competent digital technology developer SMEs, to increase the number of digitalised business processes of SMEs with priority to cooperation with domestic technology developers, to improve the capacities of SMEs with modern technologies and business models, to increase their productivity, to make their products and production processes in line with quality standards and to increase their competitiveness. There are 3 project support calls: 2022-01 ‘Supporting domestic technology developer SMEs that can contribute to the digitalisation process in the manufacturing industry sector’, 2022-02 ‘Increasing the level of utilisation of digital technologies in production and related business processes of SMEs operating in the manufacturing industry sector’ and ‘Increasing the competitiveness and productivity of small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the manufacturing industry sector’.
While SMEs in the manufacturing industry sectors can apply to the 2022-02 and 2022-03 calls, only SMEs operating in the Manufacturing of Computers, Electronic and Optical Products, Manufacturing of Machinery and Equipment Not Elsewhere Classified, Installation and Repair of Machinery and Equipment, Manufacturing of Machinery Related to Air and Space Vehicles, Telecommunications, Computer Programming, Consultancy and Related Activities, Data Processing, Hosting and Related Activities; Web Portals sectors can apply to the 2022-01 call.’
Digitalisation support increased
Underlining that the upper limit per enterprise in digitalisation calls has been increased to 2 million, Kahraman said, ‘The upper limit of support for the competitiveness and efficiency title added to the digitalisation title was determined as 1 million 500 thousand TL. Technology-developing SMEs can benefit from 900 thousand non-refundable and 1 million 100 thousand refundable support, while manufacturing SMEs that incorporate these technologies into their production processes will be able to benefit from a total of up to 2 million TL, of which 400 thousand TL is non-refundable. Project duration is minimum 8 months and maximum 12 months. The support rate for reimbursable expenses other than personnel is 85 per cent.’
