Cenk Karace and his team, who took over the management flag from Hilmi Uğurtaş after the election held at the 21st Ordinary General Assembly of İzmir Atatürk Organised Industrial Zone, presented a plaque of thanks to the managers who served in the past period with a handover ceremony.
 
Delivering the opening speech of the meeting, Cenk Karace, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Izmir Atatürk Organised Industrial Zone, thanked all the past executives who contributed to the development of IAOSB since its establishment and said that they will make their best efforts to carry the flag they received further.
 
Pointing out that IAOSB is among the exemplary OIZs of Turkey with all its facilities and facilities, Karace emphasised that as the new term management, they want to increase the prestige and value of the Zone by carrying the existing facilities and services further.
 
 
 
Karace, who gave brief information about the works they carried out within one month of taking office, continued his words on the subject as follows
 
‘We made some promises while coming to office. The most important of these was the expansion of the areas of our region. We continue our negotiations on this issue. We have started to carry out the necessary work to respond to the demands of our companies that need larger industrial parcels. We care about the strength of university-industry cooperation. At this point, we made progress on the subject by meeting with the competent institutions and authorities for the establishment of a technopark in our region. We also finalised the tender for the relocation of the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry building here. Our EBSO building will start operating in our region on 19 May 2024. The presence of EBSO will add strength to the prestige of our Region. With the return of life to normal after the pandemic, we are also reviving the theatre and choir groups of our Region. IAOSB will be on the stage again with its activities related to social life.’
 
Underlining that they will inform their participants about all the activities they carry out with the sharing meeting they will organise once every 3 months, Karace said, ‘We have witnessed how intense the management process was after we took office. For this reason, I once again owe a debt of gratitude to our past executives’ and left the lectern to Hilmi Uğurtaş, Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of IAOSB.

Uğurtaş underlined that IAOSB hosted a first in Turkey in this regard, as in many other matters, and said, ‘We had the chance to hand over the management flag we took over from EBSO to our friends in such a beautiful environment in a manner befitting our region. I would like to thank our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr Cenk Karace, and all my friends who served on the Board of Directors for this unity. Our region has made great progress in 20 years. I believe that our new management will carry our region even further with their work.  We, as the managers of the past period, will be proud to always stand by our new management and provide all kinds of support.’
 
Following the presentation of a plaque of appreciation to Hilmi Uğurtaş, Fatih Uysal, Atilla Baysak, Sinan Atik and Mehmet Karahaliloğlu for their services as the IAOSB Board of Directors, to Aydın Tümentümür and Esat Özdemir for their past term audit committee duties, to Kadri Şeker for his services as the chairman of the council, to Enver Olgunsoy for his valuable contributions to the work of the publication committee, and to Sibel Aslan Katrancı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Enginar Catering Company, for her support in the handover event, a cocktail was organised.
