A protocol was signed for the establishment of a Fire Brigade Group in İzmir Atatürk Organised Industrial Zone (IAOSB). According to the signed protocol, the Metropolitan Municipality will provide the service vehicles and personnel to work in the fire brigade service building to be built by IAOSB.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Barış Karcı, Deputy Secretary General Şükran Nurlu, Fire Department Head İsmail Derse, İzmir Atatürk Organised Industrial Zone (AOSB) Chairman Cenk Karace, IAOSB Deputy Chairman Cem İnam, Board Members Melih Dirin, Fesih Demirer, İlker Ergüllü, Deputy Regional Director Güçlü Gezgin, Fire Brigade Planning and Support Services Branch Manager Zeynep Sarıtaş attended the protocol signing ceremony hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer.

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer said, ‘This story is really valuable. It was a very good job that we started this application. It is a very meaningful initiative for Izmir, and we wish it to be an example for Turkey.’

Cenk Karace, Chairman of the Board of Directors of İzmir Atatürk Organised Industrial Zone, emphasised that it was a nice coincidence that the protocol was signed during the Firefighters' Week and said, ’A good fire station was in our dreams. We were determined, we said let's put it on the agenda immediately and we are very happy to sign the protocol today.’
