Dear Participant

Izmir Atatürk Organised Industrial Zone is carrying out the ‘Project for the Development of Disaster Risk Management Capacity of IAOSB in terms of Earthquake’ with the academicians of Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Department of Civil Engineering within the scope of Izmir Development Agency Technical Support Programme.

With the completion of the project, it is aimed to strengthen the disaster management capacity in terms of earthquake by taking into account the spatial setup, land uses, sectoral activities, structural and non-structural qualities of IAOSB, to determine the earthquake risks and to create recommendations and a road map for mitigation efforts.

Within the scope of the project, a seminar titled ‘Improving the Disaster Risk Management Capacity of IAOSB in terms of Earthquake’ will be held on Thursday, 03 October 2024 between 13:30-14:30, where information on the dangers and risks awaiting industrial zones and structures in case of an earthquake will be provided. After the seminar, a Focus Group meeting will be held between 15:00-17:00 in order to examine the earthquake resistance of industrial buildings.
